Birth doulas are the people who hold your hand through all the unknowns, stresses, and joys of childbearing and labor.

My job is not to simply help you get through birth, but to walk with you from pregnancy through postpartum as you become a parent.

Empowerment, education, and hands-on care are something a doula can provide in a way no one else can. Whether that means teaching you about how your body is changing in pregnancy or cooking you a meal postpartum, a doula’s role is always to help you step into yours.

Hey there, I'm Jenny

I'm so happy that you found my site! I am a birth and postpartum doula based out of Brentwood, Tennessee and serving the greater Nashville area. First and foremost, I am a mother to four sweet girls of my own. Before training to become a doula, I was an early childhood teacher. I have a degree in early childhood education and a master's in special education. I have worked in both classrooms and in the homes of young children providing education, therapy and support to children and their families from birth through early elementary. I also spent several years at home with my own children. Most recently, I decided to take a leap into something that I have wanted to do for a long time and help young families in a new way.

I started Birth Confidence Doula Services as a way to support women through each phase of their journey into motherhood. I am passionate about all things birth, and I believe that every woman has the power within to have the birth experience that they desire. This passion began through my own labor and delivery experiences as my first baby was born via c-section, which was then followed by three natural VBACs.

My goal as a doula is to educate clients during pregnancy, help them to feel confident during labor and birth, and to support them during the precious postpartum time with their baby.
