In fact, probably everyone who has experienced pregnancy has asked themselves these things, even if it’s not their first child. That’s why doulas exist!
Our job is to help you gain as much knowledge about the process of pregnancy and birth as you need to feel confident in the next stages. Going into the unknown of birth can be a lot easier when you have a dedicated doula by your side providing support and resources along the way.
Pregnancy and birth precipitate some of the biggest changes you will ever go through, so it makes sense to have questions, and even be a bit anxious.
But it’s also important to have a trusted source who can help you find answers or talk through possibilities. A guide or mentor in the form of a doula can make what seems impossible seem manageable.
Birth Doula Support
Birth Doula Services include:
- A free consultation interview
- Prenatal visits guided by your unique needs
- Phone and email support throughout pregnancy
- Continuous emotional and physical support during labor and birth
- 1-2 hours of postpartum and breastfeeding support after birth
- 1 postpartum follow-up visit at your home shortly after birth
- Optional extended postpartum support
$850-1250
Postpartum Support
I provide in-home postpartum doula support to families in the Nashville area for the first 12 weeks after your baby is born.
Postpartum Doula Services include:
- One prenatal visit to create a plan for support
- Education + evidence-based information on recovery, newborn care, and feeding
- Light meal preparation so you stay hydrated and nourished
- Light household chores like dishes & laundry
- Care for baby while you take time to nap and shower
- Connection to local and online resources as needed
Postpartum doula support services can last anywhere from a few visits to more than 3 months. We'll develop a customized plan for you.
$25-35 per hour
Birth Plan Consultation
A birth plan is an invaluable resource! It details your wishes and preferences and will act as a reference sheet for everyone involved.
Let me help guide you through the birth process to build your ideal plan. We will go over all of your options and discuss the pros and cons of each so that you can make informed decisions for your birth.
Birth plan consultation is included with doula services, however it is also an option even if you are not my birth client. Please keep in mind that most care providers prefer to see your birth plan at the 37 week appointment.
$75 for a 90-minute consultation
